Hymn for Her

$10

Lucy Tight & Wayne Waxing are "Hymn For Her", a band that hails from anywhere they can park their trailer. H4H live, tour and record in their 16 foot, 1961 Bambi Airstream (comes with dog and baby). Their new release, 'Lucy & Wayne and THE AMAIRICAN STREAM' was entirely recorded in their classic trailer on a coast to coast U.S tour. They stopped at various campgrounds and friends’ driveways between shows, set up their gear in their Bambi/home recording studio, rolled tape and rocked out. Many photographs and videos were taken during this endeavour. The album was mixed by Jim Diamond (who did the first White Stripes record) and captures the live, raucous sounds of H4H.

Antsy McClain with special guest Edgar Cruz

$15

Antsy McClain and Edgar Cruz take the stage for an intimate performance filled with guitar extraordinaire-ness!

Singer, songwriter, humorist and small town philosopher Antsy McClain writes what he knows: The good life.

Staging his live shows from a small, fictitious trailer park called Pine View Heights (patterned after his own childhood surroundings and experiences), McClain is free from an over-abundance of material things and appreciates time with family and friends.

Those who have witnessed Edgar Cruz’s performance immediately become entranced at the precision, speed and complexity with which his fingers strike the strings of his guitar to create a symphony of sound unusual to just one instrument. Each year, Cruz performs over 200 concerts and has played throughout America, Europe and South America. He has been a headliner at The Chet Atkins Festival in Nashville, TN since 1995 and is a strong icon at most festivals in Oklahoma including Festival of the Arts, Paseo Festival, Sunfest, Global Oklahoma and more.

Patrick Dethlefs, with Jeri Katherine Howell and Nat Colten

$8

Patrick Dethlefs will be returning to the cafe on Derby Eve, with Jeri Katherine Howell and Nat Colten opening. These accomplished singer/songwriters will fill the evening with vibrant lyrics and music to capture your heart.

(Pronounced “Det-Lefs”)

Born in Tacoma, Washington, Patrick Dethlefs now makes his home in Kittredge, Colorado. He first picked up the guitar at the age of 12 after some inspiration from his father and a little push from a neighbor. He began to learn styles such as rock, punk, and jam music, and on and on it goes. Then around the age of 15, he began writing his own songs. He remembers people saying, “Let’s learn this song,” but he always loved coming up with his own. That eventually paid off; Patrick was awarded The Best Teen Songwriter Award at Swallow Hill in Denver, Colorado in 2009. He also won Best Song as well as Best Performance. Quickly after, Dethlefs released his debut album, Stays the Same, which displays original songs as well as a few traditional tunes.
